Available Positions for the Board of Directors

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As you may or may not know, our annual meeting is once again approaching.  The Scholarship for Service meeting will be on January 6th, and we have again been given the opportunity to hold our annual meeting on that evening from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m at the Washington Hilton. Because previous meetings have been dominated by administrative tasks, the Board has decided to try and obtain alumni and student input before the meeting so the tasks can be done beforehand.

Therefore, we would like to announce that there will be a total of 5 Board positions available for the upcoming year: 3 for student positions, and 2 for alumni positions.  In the interest of time at the general meeting, and to be able to focus on the discussion of program initiatives, the Board has decided to accept nominations for Board membership for up to 2 weeks after the meeting.  Starting today and lasting until January 19th, interested parties may submit their nominations either via the forums available at http://www.sfscybercorps.org/forum/index.php in the form of a private message, or in an email to myself.   Interested candidates may visit http://sfscybercorps.org/?p=30 to view a list of the roles and responsibilities of Board members.  If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact the Board Secretary at secretary@sfscybercorps.com.

We look forward to seeing all of you in January.

~Jordan T. Sallis
